Add an AI Chatbot to Your Wix Site

Train a chatbot on your Wix pages, PDFs, and YouTube links, then add it through Settings and Custom Code. One snippet, placed at Body end.

Priced in your local currency
Works with the built-in Custom Code panel

How it works

All of it happens in the Wix dashboard. The only thing to remember is that custom code needs a published site.

01

Open Custom Code

In your Wix dashboard go to Settings, then Custom Code, under the Advanced group. This is where Wix lets you add third-party scripts to your site.

02

Add code to Body end

Choose Add Custom Code, paste the snippet, name it something you will recognise later, and set the placement to Body end rather than Head.

03

Apply it to all pages

Leave the target as All pages, choose Load code once, and apply. Wix only runs custom code on the published site, not inside the editor preview.

04

Publish, then test

Publish the site and open the public URL. Custom code does not run on an unpublished site, so testing in the editor will look like nothing happened.

The snippet

Paste this into a new custom code entry with the placement set to Body end.

html
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdn.cortexvia.in/chatbotsdk-web.css" />
<script src="https://cdn.cortexvia.in/chatbotsdk-web.iife.js"></script>
<div id="cv-chat"></div>
<script>
  window.ChatbotSDK.mount("#cv-chat", {
    chatbotKey: "ctx-cb-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",
    config: {
      mode: "chatbot",
      position: "bottom-right"
    }
  });
</script>

Replace the placeholder key with the one from your Chatbots area. Everything else can stay as it is.

  • Placement must be Body end, not Head
  • Choose Load code once so it is not re-injected on navigation
  • Publish before testing; the editor preview does not run custom code

Why Cortexvia

A script embed with local currency pricing, with the trust pages published up front.

01

Trained on your existing pages

Point it at your Wix pages, upload PDFs, or add YouTube links. Answers stay grounded in what you upload rather than the open web.

02

One script, deferred

Body-end placement plus a deferred loader means the widget arrives after your content, so it does not fight the Wix runtime for the first paint.

03

Independent of your template

The widget mounts into its own container, so switching Wix templates or restyling pages does not change how it looks or behaves.

04

Local pricing, free tier to test

Plans are priced in your local currency, and the free tier is enough to try it on a published page.

Questions

What people ask before adding a chatbot to a published Wix site.

More platforms

The same snippet works anywhere a script tag can go. Pick your platform for the exact steps.

01WordPressWPCode, footer.php, or a block-theme footer pattern.
02Shopifytheme.liquid, before the closing body tag.
03WixCustom Code, added to Body end. Needs a published site.
04SquarespaceCode Injection, Footer. Needs a Business plan or higher.
05WebflowSite Settings, Custom Code, Footer Code, then republish.
06ReactMount in an effect, unmount in the cleanup.
07Next.jsnext/script with afterInteractive, App or Pages Router.
08Plain HTMLPaste before the closing body tag. The baseline.

Get started

Start on the free tier with a document or two, add the snippet to Custom Code, and publish.

Publish first, then test on the public URL. That one habit accounts for most of the confusion people hit with Wix custom code.
