Add an AI Chatbot to Your Webflow Site

Train a chatbot on your Webflow pages, PDFs, and YouTube links, then add it through Site Settings and Custom Code. One snippet in Footer Code, then republish.

Uses the built-in Custom Code fields

How it works

The republish is not optional — that is when Webflow actually applies custom code.

01

Open Site Settings

In the Webflow Designer or dashboard, open Site Settings for the project you want the chatbot on, then go to the Custom Code tab.

02

Paste into Footer Code

Use the Footer Code field, which Webflow injects before the closing body tag on every page. Head Code would load it too early.

03

Save, then republish

Custom code only reaches the published site on the next publish. Saving settings alone is not enough, which is the step most people miss.

04

Test on the published domain

Open your webflow.io staging URL or your custom domain and ask a question your uploaded source answers. Designer preview does not run custom code.

The snippet

Paste this into Site Settings, Custom Code, Footer Code, then save and publish.

html
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdn.cortexvia.in/chatbotsdk-web.css" />
<script src="https://cdn.cortexvia.in/chatbotsdk-web.iife.js"></script>
<div id="cv-chat"></div>
<script>
  window.ChatbotSDK.mount("#cv-chat", {
    chatbotKey: "ctx-cb-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",
    config: {
      mode: "chatbot",
      position: "bottom-right"
    }
  });
</script>

Replace the placeholder key with the one from your Chatbots area. Everything else can stay as it is.

  • Footer Code, not Head Code
  • Republish after saving or the live site will not change
  • Page-level custom code fields exist if you want it on one page only

Why Cortexvia

A script embed with local currency pricing, with the trust pages published up front.

01

Trained on your own content

Add your Webflow pages as sources, upload PDFs, or paste YouTube links. Answers stay grounded in what you upload.

02

Stays out of the render path

Footer Code plus a deferred loader means the widget arrives after your interactions and animations have already started.

03

Independent of your classes

The widget mounts into its own container, so your Webflow class system and style overrides never collide with the widget's own styles.

04

Local pricing, free tier to test

Plans are priced in your local currency, and the free tier is enough to try it on a published site.

Questions

What people ask before adding custom code to a published Webflow site.

More platforms

The same snippet works anywhere a script tag can go. Pick your platform for the exact steps.

01WordPressWPCode, footer.php, or a block-theme footer pattern.
02Shopifytheme.liquid, before the closing body tag.
03WixCustom Code, added to Body end. Needs a published site.
04SquarespaceCode Injection, Footer. Needs a Business plan or higher.
05WebflowSite Settings, Custom Code, Footer Code, then republish.
06ReactMount in an effect, unmount in the cleanup.
07Next.jsnext/script with afterInteractive, App or Pages Router.
08Plain HTMLPaste before the closing body tag. The baseline.

Get started

Start on the free tier with a document or two, paste the snippet into Footer Code, and publish.

Save, then publish. If the widget is missing after an install, that missing publish is the first thing to check.
