Add an AI Chatbot to Your Squarespace Site

Train a chatbot on your Squarespace pages, PDFs, and YouTube links, then add it through Code Injection. One snippet in the Footer field, site-wide.

Priced in your local currency
Uses the built-in Code Injection panel

How it works

The plan check comes first: without Code Injection there is no field to paste into.

01

Check your plan first

Code Injection is a Business plan and above feature on Squarespace. On a Personal plan the panel is not available, so confirm this before anything else.

02

Open Code Injection

From the dashboard go to Settings, then Advanced, then Code Injection. You will see separate Header and Footer fields.

03

Paste into Footer

Put the snippet in the Footer field, not Header. Footer output lands near the end of the body, which is where the widget should load.

04

Save and test live

Save, then open your live site rather than the editor. Injected code does not run inside the Squarespace editing view.

The snippet

Paste this into Settings, Advanced, Code Injection, in the Footer field.

html
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdn.cortexvia.in/chatbotsdk-web.css" />
<script src="https://cdn.cortexvia.in/chatbotsdk-web.iife.js"></script>
<div id="cv-chat"></div>
<script>
  window.ChatbotSDK.mount("#cv-chat", {
    chatbotKey: "ctx-cb-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",
    config: {
      mode: "chatbot",
      position: "bottom-right"
    }
  });
</script>

Replace the placeholder key with the one from your Chatbots area. Everything else can stay as it is.

  • Footer field, not Header
  • Code Injection needs a Business plan or above
  • Test on the live site; the editor does not run injected code

Why Cortexvia

A script embed with local currency pricing, with the trust pages published up front.

01

Trained on your own pages

Add your Squarespace pages as sources, upload PDFs, or paste YouTube links. Answers stay grounded in what you upload.

02

Site-wide from one field

Footer injection applies across the site, so one paste covers every page rather than per-page code blocks you have to maintain.

03

Survives template changes

Code Injection lives in site settings rather than in your template, so switching templates does not remove the snippet.

04

Local pricing, free tier to test

Plans are priced in your local currency, and the free tier is enough to try it on a live page.

Questions

More platforms

The same snippet works anywhere a script tag can go. Pick your platform for the exact steps.

01WordPressWPCode, footer.php, or a block-theme footer pattern.
02Shopifytheme.liquid, before the closing body tag.
03WixCustom Code, added to Body end. Needs a published site.
04SquarespaceCode Injection, Footer. Needs a Business plan or higher.
05WebflowSite Settings, Custom Code, Footer Code, then republish.
06ReactMount in an effect, unmount in the cleanup.
07Next.jsnext/script with afterInteractive, App or Pages Router.
08Plain HTMLPaste before the closing body tag. The baseline.

Get started

Start on the free tier with a document or two, paste the snippet into the Footer field, and save.

Confirm Code Injection is on your plan first. After that the install is one paste and one save, and it stays put through template changes.
