Add an AI Chatbot to Your Shopify Store

Train a chatbot on your shipping, returns, and product pages, then add it to your storefront with one snippet in theme.liquid. No Shopify app to install.

Priced in your local currency
Theme snippet, not an app install

How it works

Everything happens in Shopify admin. No CLI, no theme rebuild, no app permissions.

01

Open your theme code

In Shopify admin go to Online Store, then Themes. On the theme you want to edit, open the three-dot menu and choose Edit code.

02

Open theme.liquid

Under Layout, open theme.liquid. This is the wrapper every storefront page renders inside, so anything added here appears on all of them.

03

Paste before the closing body tag

Scroll to the bottom, paste the snippet immediately above the closing body tag, and save. Duplicate your theme first if you want a rollback point.

04

Test on the storefront

Open your live store and ask a question your uploaded shipping or returns page answers. The launcher sits in the corner you configured.

The snippet

Paste this immediately before the closing body tag, then save the file.

html
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdn.cortexvia.in/chatbotsdk-web.css" />
<script src="https://cdn.cortexvia.in/chatbotsdk-web.iife.js"></script>
<div id="cv-chat"></div>
<script>
  window.ChatbotSDK.mount("#cv-chat", {
    chatbotKey: "ctx-cb-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",
    config: {
      mode: "chatbot",
      position: "bottom-right"
    }
  });
</script>

Replace the placeholder key with the one from your Chatbots area. Everything else can stay as it is.

  • Layout, then theme.liquid, is the file that wraps every storefront page
  • Duplicate the theme first if you want a one-click rollback
  • Re-paste after a theme update or theme switch

Why Cortexvia

A theme snippet with local currency pricing, with the trust pages published up front.

01

Answers the questions that fill your inbox

Add your shipping, returns, sizing, and warranty pages as sources and the chatbot answers from them instead of routing every question to your team.

02

No app install, no review queue

This is a theme snippet, not a Shopify app. Nothing requests store permissions, nothing appears in your app bill, and there is no listing to wait on.

03

Does not slow the storefront

The loader is deferred until after the page is interactive, so it stays out of the way of your product images and theme scripts.

04

Local currency pricing

Plans are priced in your local currency with a free tier, so a small store can test on a live product page before paying anything.

Questions

What store owners ask before putting a chatbot on a live storefront.

More platforms

The same snippet works anywhere a script tag can go. Pick your platform for the exact steps.

01WordPressWPCode, footer.php, or a block-theme footer pattern.
02Shopifytheme.liquid, before the closing body tag.
03WixCustom Code, added to Body end. Needs a published site.
04SquarespaceCode Injection, Footer. Needs a Business plan or higher.
05WebflowSite Settings, Custom Code, Footer Code, then republish.
06ReactMount in an effect, unmount in the cleanup.
07Next.jsnext/script with afterInteractive, App or Pages Router.
08Plain HTMLPaste before the closing body tag. The baseline.

Get started

Start on the free tier with a document or two, copy the snippet, and paste it into theme.liquid.

Start with your shipping and returns pages. Those are the questions that fill a support inbox, and they are the fastest to prove out on a live storefront.
